NOTICE FROM THE TOWN (6/12) - The CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection will be lowering the water level in the mill pond by one foot per week over the next three weeks in order to facilitate the Springborn Dam removal project. This is the dam on the Scantic River in Hazardville.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Somers Public Schools is to challenge our students and staff to pursue excellence, foster creative expression and to develop a concern for the quality of life for all. The mission of the Somers Public Schools, a public educational community dedicated to excellence, is to prepare and inspire all students to realize their fullest potential in a challenging learning environment.


Goals

Goal #1: Link state and local curriculum standards, student assessments, and instructions so that students acquire the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
Goal #2: Integrate technology throughout the district and expand the use of technology in the classroom to sustain a 21st century learning environment.
Goal #3: Maintain school facilities and grounds to provide a safe, healthy environment conducive to learning.
