Important Dates at SHS:

November 2009

November 4- 1st quarter ends

November 5- 2nd quarter begins

November 11- No School- Veterans' Day

November 12- Report Card Distribution at SHS- Sent home with every student last period

November 20- Wreath Sale Pick up-Kibbe Fuller 2:30 - 7 pm for band, chorus & jazz choir

November 23- Financial Aid Night at SHS given by the CCC

November 25- 1/2 day at SHS, 11:30 a.m. dismissal

November 26 & 27- No School- Thanksgiving Recess

November 30- Classes Resume

Inclement Weather- No School/Delayed Opening:

Parents and students should tune into their local radio or television station starting at 6:30 AM to receive last minute instructions on school closings or delays.  You can also call the Somers Public School line at 749-2270 or go on to our web site to listen/see emergency closing/cancellation announcements.

All school delays will be for ninety minutes.  SHS will have a 9:10 warning bell and a 9:13 class bell.  SHS students would proceed to their 3rd block meeting time of the day.  If SHS is dismissed early due to inclement weather, the dismissal would be at 11:30 a.m.
