The clock ticks down to zero as our Stafford/East Windsor/Somersco-op football team defeats Bullard Havens 20-12 in the Class Quarterfinals at Penders Field! The playoff win was the first Stafford state tournament win since the CIAC points system was implemented for football in 1974! Congratulations to our co-op for advancing to the Class S semi-finals!

The Somers girls soccer seniors and Coach Pantusoco celebrate senior day after their 7-1 win over SMSA. The girl's soccer team beat Stafford 2-1 in an exciting 1st round game in the Class S tournament, and played well in a 1-0 2nd round loss to #2 seed Holy Cross.

State champion Kylie Raymond finishes 24th in the New England Cross Country Championships in Belfast, Maine, and earns ALL NEW ENGLAND HONORS!!


The boy's and girl's cross country teams competed in the NCCC Championship race on Saturday at Windsor Locks High School with the girls finishing 3rd and the boys takng 6th.


Kylie Raymond was NCCC girl's champion, marking the 3rd year in a row that a Somers girl's athlete has won the NCCC XC Championship.


Teammates Ashlie Delskey and Ashleigh Gentile earned all conference, while Jayme Palazzo earned all conference for the boys.


Congratulations to all of our seniors, coaching staff, and team members for a great season including qualifying for the state finals for the 3rd time in the last 4 years.

SOMERS BOYS LACROSSE COACH KEN MCCARTHY CELEBRATES WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS DURING HIS INDUCTION CEREMONY INTO THE CONNECTICUT LACROSSE HALL OF FAME ON NOVEMBER 11TH! Congratulations to Coach McCarthy who joins the HoF Class of 2016 as he enters his 26th year of coaching lacrosse at Somers High School. Coach McCarthy has led the Spartans to 24 consecutive seasons of qualifying for the state tournament, with (6) state championship appearances and (5) state titles including the last two Class S state championships. Coach McCarthy's 386 career wins are 5th all time in Connecticut and 2nd among active coaches, and include (10) regular season league championships and (7) league tournament championships.
