Superintendent Note - Recent reports about “Crazy Clowns” have spread throughout the media and communities. In the Somers Public School District, we take specific actions to provide for, and to maintain close security at each school and on the campus. Parents should speak with their children about this matter to ensure that they feel safe both at home and while at school. Our School Resource Officer is tied in closely with every aspect of our schools to ensure for a safe school and campus climate.

SHS Sports is excited to launch our new online portal for sports registration. Parents/Guardians should complete the online forms with the student-athlete. Families will need to create a new account. Once you are signed in, you will be able to register for a sport and pay online during. Pay-for-play payments (check or cash) are also accepted during pre-season tryouts and should be forwarded to the coach or athletic manager.

Congratulations to Both our Girls & Boys Cross Country Teams on their recent NCCC Championship Meet Performances, including Ava Roche Finishing 1st (NCCC Champion for the 2nd Consecutive Year) and Kylie Raymond Finishing 2nd in the Girls Race!!


Fall sports will comprise of boy's JV and varsity soccer; girl's JV and varsity soccer; girl's JV and varsity field hockey; boy's and girl's cross country; co-op girl's swimming with Enfield HS; and co-op football with Stafford/East Windsor. All game schedules are available on and will be posted weekly on the high school sports website once the official season begins. Fall sports tryout schedules will be posted during the first few days of practices, after which coaches will communicate team practice schedules with their respective student athletes. PARENTS: Online registration for winter sports is open (see above). All up-to-date medical information (including a physical within the last year  submitted to the school nurse) is required for athletic eligibility. Pay-for-play via credit card is an option available with online registration.
