Hi, my name is Ashley and I will be going to Alaska this year! I’m so excited--this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I was chosen! Going to Alaska is going to be amazing. I will get to interact with one of the best scientists ever. His name is Dr. Martin Jeffries. He will be taking us around to carry out different activities related to the International Polar Year. Also on this trip I will get to interact with my classmates and have a lot of fun. During this experience in Alaska I will be studying climate changes that related to our environment and global warming. Also we will try to determine how our society and science is related to Arctic research. I know this will be an awesome trip! I’ve got my suitcase packed and am ready to go!
